Linux Commands (dev.mevivek.linux_commands) · Effective 2 September 2026

Linux Commands is an offline reference guide for Linux commands, published by Vivek Kumar. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.

The short version

The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or files. The entire command library is bundled in the app and works offline. What is collected is limited to anonymous usage and stability data, plus advertising identifiers used to serve ads.

What the app collects

The app itself stores two things on your device only, and never transmits them:

These are removed when you uninstall the app.

Third-party services

The app uses the following Google services, which collect data on their own terms:

These services act as data processors for the app and also process data under Google's own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy documentation.

Advertising identifiers

Ads are supported by your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier that is not tied to your name or account. You can reset it, or opt out of personalised advertising entirely, in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.

What is never collected

Sharing and sale of data

Data is not sold, and is not shared with anyone beyond the Google services listed above, which process it to provide analytics, crash reporting and advertising. Information may be disclosed if required by law.

Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained according to Google's default retention periods for Firebase, which are configured in the Firebase console. Data stored on your device persists until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

Children

The app is a technical reference intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
